Joseph Ulman scrapbooks

Overview This collection consists of two scrapbooks containing informational illustrations and pamphlets about a variety of health topics. Allergy testing and gastrointestinal maladies comprise the bulk of the material. Materials include charts to inform proper caloric intake, color illustrations of various diseases, and charts to help differentiate between diseases with similar symptoms. Not much is known about Joseph Ulman. This collection was discovered during a survey in the summer and fall of 2015.

Gerhard's papers, 1834-1845, documenting his education and early career, contains letters received and sent, some correspondence of his brother, lawyer Benjamin Gerhard, and a few receipted bills and miscellaneous items.
