Biographical/Historical note

Harry Morton Vars (1903-1983) received his bachelor's in chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1924. In 1929 he earned his Ph.D. from Yale. In 1954 Vars was appointed Professor of Biochemistry in Surgical Research, Department of Surgery, School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Vars is best known for his work on parenteral feeding.
