Scope and Contents

At 16 months old, Harold Levy was rushed by ambulance from Brooklyn, NY to Temple University Hospital due to a foreign body lodged in his throat. He was accompanied by his grandfather, Dr. Louis Nelson, an orthopedic surgeon who discovered the object via radiographic examination in his home office.

This small collection includes a cover letter from Dr. Chevalier Jackson which accompanies clinical notes detailing the case. The notes are from Drs. Gustavus C. Bird, Jr. and Barbara L. Carter. Also included is a Report of Endoscopy from the Chevalier Jackson Bronchoscopic Clinic, listing Dr. Jackson as the endoscopist.

Biographical / Historical

Dr. Harold M. Levy completed undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of Pennsylvania. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Maryland and works in private practice in Maryland.
