Scope and Contents

The collection consists of Myles Synnott's diploma from Jefferson Medical College, 1831, and financial records, 1834-1866, from his Glassboro practice. These financial records consist of a daybook, 1854-1861, with a chronological listing of patients and a summary of the transaction, and four ledgers, numbered B through E, 18341866. The ledgers are organized by name of patient with the date and reason for transaction. Each volume contains an index to the patients' names. There are occasional personal financial accounts; the bulk of these are in the daybook.

Each volume has a corresponding folder of miscellaneous financial material: accounts, bills, correspondence, receipts, and some printed material, 1841-1870 and undated.
