This collection documents William Williams Keen’s role in President Grover Cleveland’s 1893 secret surgery through Keen’s correspondence and reflections. The collection primarily covers developments surrounding two events: the surgery on July 1st, 1893, and the publication of Keen’s Saturday Evening Post article which appeared on September 22nd, 1917.
