Scope and Contents
The collection consists of three holograph addresses of Dyar
T. Brainard. Although all three are undated, approximate dates,
1813, 1821, and 1823, can be derived from the contents of each
address. The third address, circa 1823, may have been the annual
dissertation delivered to the Connecticut State Medical Society;
the other two addresses may have been given before the New London
County Medical Association.

E. A. Santee daybooks and ledgers

The collection, 1856-1888, contains five daybooks and four ledgers, documenting the medical practice and career of E. A. Santee at Lehman, Shickshinny, Hollenback, Hobbie, and Wapwallopen, in Luzerne County, Pa. Included are some notes and recipes from Jefferson Medical College. Also included are some cash accounts and a ledger of farming accounts of John Santee.

The collection contains three ledgers from the medical practice
of E. A. Santee in Luzerne County, Pa., at Hobbie, 1870-1877,
with some account settlements to 1889, and Wapwallopen, 1886-1905,
with some account settlements to 1911. The ledger entries list
patient's name, date, and fee. Each volume contains an index
to the ledger accounts. The two ledgers from Wapwallopen give
brief summaries of the treatment or reason for visit, while
the Hobbie ledger refers to accounts in E. A....
