Scope and Contents The collection consists of a diary, 1835-1854 (Bulk 1839-1852), kept by British naval surgeon David Wright, b.1790. The diary contains periodic, sometime daily, entries describing the weather and events of the day. The bulk of the diary regards the personal, especially legal and financial, affairs of David Wright, but some entries relate to medical and naval activity.
