Scope and Contents
	     This receipt book contains just over 200 recipes, with roughly a third related to cookery or household needs, the remainder are medical remedies. Paschall’s recipes came from her own experiences, were recommended by her community or area physicians, and were also found in books. Volume contains recipes and prescriptions in English and Latin, in various
hands, on pages 100
and 111-212.
There are several references to James Blackburn, who may have
owned or compiled the volume originally, then given it to John Dauntesey in 1652. Several prescriptions

Content Description
	     This small collection consists of 16 manuscript pharmaceutical prescriptions with occasional typescript comments.  The cards and the comments were attributed to Battin and Lunger Pharmacists, Philadelphia, by the donor.  The physicians who signed the prescriptions include J. Harold Austin, Radcliffe Cheston, J. Clinton Foltz, Alvin R. McCarthy[?], John F. McCloskey, Frank M. Ramsey, Edward G. Rhoads, Fred A. Sutcliff, and Josephus T. Ullom.

Overview
             This daybook contains medical observations and recipes from Philadelphia resident, Dr. Solomon Bush. The son of Mathias Bush, Dr. Solomon Bush practiced medicine around the time of the Revolutionary War despite not having any formal training. In addition to his medical case studies and remedy recipes, his daybook also includes a memorandum of his marriage to Ann, the daughter of Christopher Marshall on April 2, 1791.
