A letter to Silas Weir Mitchell, praising his novel, Hugh Wynne, and calling attention to a historical inaccuracy Meagher perceived in the work. Meagher, a Pennsylvania local historian, was the co-author of a History of Butler County, Pennsylvania (1895) and a History of Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
