Deeds of Gift of the Office of the Treasurer

Scope and Contents
The collection contains notarized deeds of gift which were
filed and preserved by the treasurer, 1924-1953, for items
presented to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia for
the Mutter Museum or College Collections, Deeds for items
falling under the provisions of the Mutter Trust specify this
condition. Occasional inforaation on provenance and some
related letters are included.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains three ledgers, 1883-1908, maintained
by the Treasurer of the College of Physicians of
Philadelphia, containing the College's account current of
its income and expenditures as well as accounts of the
Building Fund, Permanent Fund, special Library book funds,
and mortgages. An index to account names is included in
each volume. The 1901-1908 ledger also contains brief notes
on the establishment and intent of the s~ecial funds. One

mortgages, and surveys documenting the acquisition,
ownership, lease, and sale of buildings and properties by

concerning properties at 13th and Locust Street, 1795-1948.
